What size flower pot do I need for my houseplants?

When buying plant it is important that you buy the right flower pot that fits the type of plant you have purchased. The right size is very important because some houseplants need a lot of space and others thrive in smaller pots.

The most important thing about the pot is that the excess water can drain away. For example, you can plant your plant with a cultivation pot and already in a closed container decorative pot to make. Always make an elevation, so that about a centimeter of water can remain in the decorative pot without the cultivation pot soaking in it. Or put the plant in a stone or plastic pot with holes at the bottom and place it on a saucer that catches the excess water.

Houseplants like to be repotted about every 2 years. Then they have good chances to grow bigger again. Always choose a pot that is 2-5 cm larger than your plant.
