10 hints – Houseplants care in the summer
Summer is in full swing and temperatures are rising. It is warm for us, but also for the house plants in your house. In the summer months they therefore need some extra care.
Below are 10 tips to help your houseplants through the summer as best as possible.
TIP 1: Check regularly the potting soil. It should not feel too dry.
TIP 2: Does your plant need water? Apply this in the morning or in the evening when the sun is not yet so bright. Otherwise all the water will evaporate or the roots will burn.
TIP 3: Is your plant dried out? Put him in a bath with water and let him drink the water from the bottom. Leave it in this until you feel the potting soil is moist again.
TIP 4: Move your houseplants a little further from the window. Even the plants that like to be in the sunlight may find it a bit too much.
TIP 5: Give your plants plant food (more often than in the winter months). This makes the plant feel more comfortable and can grow optimally.
